India is a country widely known for its strong family culture system. Therefore every year Rakhi is celebrated with loads of love and frolic in India. The auspicious festival of Rakhi symbolizes the sacred bond of love and affection which is strengthened by a Rakhi.Raksha Bandhan literally meaning “safety” and “bond”, celebrates the brother-sister relationship.

On this day, sisters tie rakhi on the wrist of her brother as a symbol of her unconditional faith in him and prays for his long life. In return, the brother promises to keep her happy and protect her from all troubles throughout his life. Within this  Rakhi reside sacred feelings and well wishes.

The history of Rakshabandhan dates back to Hindu mythology in Mahabharata, Draupadi, wife of the Pandavas had torn the corner of her saree to prevent Lord Krishna’s wrist from bleeding. Thus, a bond, that of brother and sister developed between them, and he promised to protect her. And later Lord Krishna protected Draupadi by saving her from being molested in the court of Kauravas

It is also a great sacred verse of unity, acting as a symbol of life’s advancement and a leading messenger of togetherness.

To recognise the selfless service of doctors and police personnel and the Defense personnel these front line warriors are the pride of our nation who have been protecting the nation leaving their personal emotions and belongings but  spreading the umbrella and giving us a safe space and a life of relief and comfort. They are the ones standing right in front so that the nation is safe.On the occasion of Raksha Bandhan we would spread our sincere gratitude to the real heroes and are much obliged. The true Raksha is what comes from them. A salute to you.
